Gordon wants nothing more than to go back to his miserable sales routes and avoid anyone carrying a gun or speaking in code. Unfortunately, his accidental success has turned him into a myth. When rival agencies, criminal networks, and overeager officials all begin treating him like a master strategist, Gordon is dragged into a second crisis—this time with expectations attached. As he tries to behave like the sort of man everyone already believes him to be, every attempt to look competent makes events far more dangerous, and far more ridiculous.
